How did Easy Wins start?

Mushfiq launched its first website as a student in 2008. In 2010 he received an offer from an Australian company to buy his website.

At the time, Mushfiq didn’t even know you could sell a website. This was around the time Flippa and other platforms were just starting out in the website marketplace and there wasn’t a lot of information about how to sell websites.

Selling his first website grossed him $ 25,000. The company that bought its website is now called Slashdot Media, the company behind SourceForge and other popular brands.

When other college students went into debt and worked minimum wage jobs, Mushfiq got his first glimpse into website flipping and found his passion.

According to Mushfiq, browsing websites for sale on sites like Flippa and Motion Invest is almost like a hobby for him now. Whenever he has a little downtime, he browses the classified sites on the site.

Example 1: outdoor website

In April, he bought a piece of land in the outdoor niche from Flippa for $ 23,000. At the time, the site was only making $ 300, roughly 70 times that. In almost every way, this meant the website was way overpriced.

When most people turned over the site for its great value for money, Mushfiq saw the potential.

The site received over 100,000 hits a month. Mushfiq knew it was under-monetized. In just a few months after adding promotional and affiliate links, and making some of his other “easy profits,” the website began making $ 3,000 a month.

Ten times the monthly amount originally, but it didn’t stop there. Last month, the website had monthly sales of $ 7,000.

In 2019, Musfiq had similar results when it bought a relationship and dating website for $ 25,000. At the time, the site was making $ 1,000 a month with 30,000 page views. What Makes Good Business?

Mushfiq spends hours looking for great places. He says that finding these opportunities for a 10-fold turnover change usually only happens once a year. There are some very specific things to look for in order to achieve this.

    Mushfiq loves to find amateur bloggers or hobbyists who write about their niche because they love it. People who start a passion blog have great content but not the experience of generating significant income from their online presence.
  2. Lots of traffic, little monetization
    Low monetization can mean many things, and different industries have different benchmarks. This could mean other monetization channels as well, be it from advertising or affiliates.
  3. Fast offers
    Mushfiq prides itself on fast business. If there is enough potential on the site, he’ll be ready to hit a deal. Mushfiq won’t spend much time negotiating. If he can get the deal done quickly and the opportunity arises, he is ready to pay full price.

Each deal takes between 3 months and 1.5 years. Every site is different, but the operational aspects of Mushfiq’s website flip process have been broken down into a few categories: growth, stabilization, and maintenance.

Growth:

As a developer, Mushfiq says he enjoys working in sprints. Every time he buys a new website, he will put together a sprint with simple profits to add momentum to the project.
